What is Quickable?

Quickable brings buyers and sellers together. It is the easiest way to list and sell items on first generation marketplaces such as eBay and Facebook as well as it’s own local and national Quickable Marketplace. You can create your listing once and post simultaneously to Craigslist, eBay, Twitter and Facebook. You can search for products by geographic proximity, use our in-app instant messaging to communicate without exchanging personal information, and, with social networking integration, enjoy the safety of transacting with friends from social media networks.

Are there any fees to use Quickable?

No. Quickable is free to download and free to use. However, other marketplaces and services accessed through Quickable, such as eBay and PayPal, do have fees and their terms and conditions will apply.

How do I download the App?

Why does Quickable ask me for the following permissions?

Internet: This allows Quickable to integrate with listing marketplaces and Facebook.
Camera: This enables barcode reading functionality so you can scan a barcode as a seller or a buyer.
Vibrate: This permission is needed in order to notify you when a message using the Quickable in-app messaging system has been sent to you.
Fine Location: (GPS Location) This function allows Quickable to locate how close buyers are to the items you are selling, and how close you are to items you are looking to buy. Don’t worry-we will never give out your exact location.
Coarse Location: (Network) This is very similar to Fine Location and is used for the same purpose.
Network State: This allows us to read and verify the network connectivity you are using.
Wake Lock: Stops the device from sleeping and is used in our push notification system.
Read Logs: Allows us to read the log output from a user's device on a crash report.

Why Should I use Facebook to Login?

Using your Facebook account is highly recommended. You will enjoy a better user experience by allowing you and your friends to see each other’s listings and benefit from our popular ‘Friends Only Pricing’ feature. In order to take advantage of all of this you must login to Quickable using a Facebook login account.

How do I reset my password?

To reset your password from the app, go to the Login page > Click on the Forgot Password button (near the login button) > follow prompts to change your password.

From the website, click the Login + button on the top right hand side of the page to open the login bar > Click the question mark (?) next to the password field and from there you will be directed to enter an email address where we can send password reset instructions.

Can I leave feedback on my transaction?

Yes, leaving feedback on a transaction is a great way to let others know about your experience with particular buyers and sellers. Leave feedback as a buyer or seller at any time via our mobile app.

Creating an account using just your email

You can also log in by creating a Quickable user account using an email account.

TIP: Remember no matter which method you use, the email address that is associated with your account will be where your Craigslist verification emails will be sent.

How do I change my account settings?

To change your account settings, you must login via the Quickable mobile app and select from the Homepage > Settings > Account.

Can I turn off e-mail notifications from the app or website?

Yes. You can turn off any one of the e-mail notifications at any time from either the Quickable app or the website.

From the app, go to Settings > Notifications and select which e-mail notification you would like to turn off.

From the website, go to Profile tab > Notification Settings and select which e-mail notification you would like to turn off.

How do I leave feedback?

Leave feedback at any point during or after a transaction from the Quickable app by clicking on the item detail page. For example, if you’ve already completed a transaction you would:

How do I change my profile picture?

To change your profile picture select from the Home page > Settings > Account.

Can I create a Quickable account via the Quickable Marketplace website?

Yes, click on the login button on the top right hand corner of the homepage > Create an account > Fill out all required fields and presto you’re now a Quickable user!

What do I do if I get an unexpected error when logging in with a Facebook account?

Login to Facebook > Account Settings (on the top right) > Apps > Delete Quickable. Then Login to Quickable on your smartphone > re-accept permissions for Facebook.

How do I set up my PayPal account in Quickable?

When you select the Pay button you will be re-routed to the PayPal website. The email address associated with your Quickable login will be auto- filled as the username (this can be manually updated). Login to PayPal and complete the transaction. In Advanced mode you have the option to enter in an alternate email address for PayPal during the listing process. This email address will be remembered the next time you list an item.

How do I sell an item?

1) Search a few keywords or scan a bar code to get an automated product description.
2) Take as many pictures of your item as you like (we host the images for free!), or import from Dropbox or your phone”s photo gallery.
3) Set the price and rate the items condition.
4) Then decide which marketplaces on which to list the item, select PUBLISH and that’s it!
5) Your items will now appear on each of the Marketplaces you selected and will be searchable both locally and nationally by Quickable buyers and sellers.

How do I sell an item on the Quickable Marketplace website?

Click on the Sell tab > Login if needed > Fill out all the required fields > Confirm and Publish.

Difference between Basic and Advanced Selling Mode (Both Free!)

Advanced selling mode allows for additional functionality such as:

  • Importing text from Dropbox
  • Craigslist signature line
  • Advanced duration settings including the ability to schedule listing for a later date
  • You can create custom eBay templates on the website
  • The ability to post to Facebook walls where you are the administrator

Basic provides users with all the basic functionality needed to list items.

How do I mark my item as sold?

In order for the listed item to be taken down from other locations, you must mark the item as sold in the app. Go to My Quickable > Active Listings > Select the item > Item Review (upper right hand corner), and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Mark As Sold' button.

What is Dropbox and why do I need it?

Dropbox is a free file sharing service that allows you to save up to 2 gigs of photos and text accessible from any device. This is useful for those of you who would like to use stock photos of items, factory descriptions or Photoshop images and then add them to your Quickable listings as a txt file. TIP: Items uploaded from Dropbox must be saved as a txt file in order to be compatible with Quickable.

Will Quickable send me a payment for items I sell?

No. Payments will always be made by the buyer to the seller. Sellers have the option to offer PayPal, credit card (available through the PayPal website) or cash as payment options. We suggest you do not send items until you have a confirmed transfer of funds to your PayPal account or cash in your hand.

How do I complete a sale?

Once you have been paid or have concluded the transaction select My Quickable > Pending Sales and indicate whether or not the transaction has been completed. Rating the transaction will help other community members know how well a seller or buyer ranks.

Does Quickable prohibit the posting of certain items?

Yes. Items such as firearms, pornographic material, and prescription drugs are prohibited on Quickable. Users must also comply with the Terms of Service for each marketplace or social media site they list on. Please see our Content Policy for more information.

When should I send my item(s) out?

We suggest waiting until you receive full payment from the buyer before shipping it.

How do I accept an offer in Quickable?

Easily accept or decline an offer by clicking on the envelope in the Message Center located on the Home Screen > Select the appropriate message > Press accept or decline.

What is the view counter for?

You can see analytic data about individual listings by selecting My Quickable > Active Listings and select the listing your interested in. The numbers to the right indicate how many people have clicked on your listing and where those clicks are coming from.

Should I take the time to use good quality and thoughtful taken pictures for my listing?

Yes, listings items with thoughtful pictures get more looks on average than ones that little to no effort is put in. The more looks your item gets the more likely it is to sell... quickly!

TIP: Users who take the time to post nice pictures are more likely to be highlighted on Quickable’s Facebook and Pinterest Pages leading to more views of your item. Check both pages out now to see which items are currently highlighted.

What if my item doesn’t sell?

If the item doesn’t sell you can relist it by going to My Quickable > Unsold items > Select your item > Relist.

TIP: If your item didn’t sell but had a lot of views, you might want to consider lowering the price.

What is the scorecard?

You can see your overall app rating on the Scorecard. You can see how much you’ve sold, how much you’ve made, and how you rate compared to other Quickable users. This information is not shared with other users.

Can I turn off the ability to accept offers?

Yes, in advanced mode users have the ability to turn off “Accept Offers.”? Do this in step two of the listing process.

Can I edit my listings on the Quickable website?

Currently you can only edit listings using the Quickable app. We are working hard to bring this functionality in a future release.

Can I change my notification settings on the website?

Yes, Login > Click on the profile tab (Profile tab) > Notification Settings.

Can I archive messages from the website?

Currently you can only archive messages by logging into the Quickable app. We are working hard to bring this functionality to the website in a future release.

Do I need an eBay account to post on eBay?

Yes, you will have to register with eBay and have a seller account in order to post there.

The first time you post to eBay through Quickable, you will be prompted for your eBay login information.
After syncing your eBay account with Quickable, it will be saved for future listings.

Do I have to pay eBay’s fees?

Yes. If you choose to list items on eBay, you will need to comply with their terms and conditions. However, eBay is currently allowing users 50 free listings or $3500 in merchandises value per month (this figure is adjustable by contacting eBay directly and is subject to change at eBay’s discretion). Under this promotion, fees are only assessed on a sold item, final value.

How Do I list to eBay from my iPhone?

Using Quickable for iPhone you can quickly list your items for sale on Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist and the Quickable Marketplace. Listing to eBay will be available in a future iPhone version.

When I create my listing through Quickable, do I still need to check for emails?

Yes. You will need to answer emails from potential eBay costumers. Answering their questions is critical for making the sale.

Why should I use an eBay custom template?

In compliance with eBay's terms and conditions, you must disclose information about your business practices in your listing. By creating a custom template, you can include all pertinent information about your policies: shipping, returns, etc. Providing this type of information will help you get better feedback on eBay. There is no limit to the number of templates you can create. Then select the appropriate template from the drop down menu in Quickable when creating your listing.

How can I create/edit an eBay custom template?

You can easily create and edit eBay custom templates by going to Login into the website using the same login and password that you used to set up the account on your phone. After you login click on the grey eBay templates button.

Why Do I receive an eBay 240 Error When I Try To Post An Item?

This error message is generated from the eBay servers and are not from the Quickable app servers. Unfortunately the 240 error is rather vague and reads as follows: “The title and/or description may contain improper words, or the listing or seller may be in violation of eBay policy”. A number of issues cause the error, including:

  • Use of an eBay Prohibited Term in the Product Title or Description, including (but not limited to) money order, check, cheque, cash, vintage, insurance & reproduction
  • You do not have a seller account setup on eBay (in addition to your regular account)
  • PayPal account is not properly linked to your eBay account in your eBay My Account
  • You have reached / are trying to pass your monthly selling limit
  • You have selected "Accept Best Offer" option, when your feedback points are less than 10
  • eBay does not allow reposting of certain items, like designer items, within a 30 day period.

TIP: We recommend first logging into your eBay account to check things are setup correctly. If that does not resolve your problem and your eBay account is new, we recommend to try and post a listing directly via the eBay website for the first time (eBay security restriction).

Do I need a PayPal account to sell items?

Although having a PayPal account is not required, it is highly recommended for the following reasons.

  • It is free to set-up.
  • It allows you to complete sales directly through Craigslist and Facebook as long as you are willing to ship the item.
  • PayPal offers buyer protection and recourse in resolving disputes.
How do I pay for an item in Quickable using my PayPal account?

When you select the Pay button in Quickable, you will be re-routed to the PayPal website. The email address associated with your Quickable login will be auto-filled as your PayPal username. (This username also can be manually inputted.) Follow PayPal instructions to complete your purchase.

If my PayPal email address is not the same as my Quickable email address, how to I complete a transaction?

In Quickable’s Advanced mode, you have the option to enter an alternate PayPal email address during the listing process. This email address will be remembered for future use.

How do I know I’ve been paid using PayPal?

PayPal will send an email confirmation anytime your account is credited or simply login to your PayPal account online to see if you have been credited for the sale.

How do I dispute a payment with PayPal?

Go to > Login > Resolution Center > Report a Problem > Dispute a Transaction.

Is there a PayPal integration on Quickable for iPhone?

At this time iPhone users are not able to pay for items using PayPal. Don't fret this integration will be available in an upcoming release.

Why am I getting e-mails from Craigslist?

Each time you post an item to Craigslist, you will receive an e-mail notification. This e-mail contains Craigslist Terms and Conditions. You must accept these terms and conditions each time in order to post items to their site. Once you finish the listing process and publish your listing a confirmation box will direct you to your email to complete the Craigslist listing process.

Do I need an account for Craigslist?

For a one-time post, you do not need a Craigslist account. If you plan on posting to Craigslist regularly we recommend, you sign up for an account here:

If I have a Craigslist Account can I enter it directly on Quickable?

Yes, easily enter your Craigslist account information directly after selecting you want to list your item on Craigslist.

Does it cost to post on Craigslist?

The Craigslist categories available via the Quickable app are all free to post to. Only certain categories such as jobs and apartment rentals require payment for posting.

How do I sell on Craigslist?

Quickable allows you to easily post your items to Craigslist. After selecting the Craigslist marketplace option, choose the appropriate category and region. Once your item has been uploaded to Craigslist, a notification email will be sent to the address associated with your Quickable account. For example, if you used Facebook to login, the Craigslist email will go to the email address registered to that account. You must agree to Craigslist’s terms and conditions before your listing will be published on their site.

Why Am I Unable To Find My Item On Craigslist Search?

Craigslist postings take some time to post. Sometimes as few as five minutes or up to an hour. This is common. Be patient, Craig can only type so fast.

How To Avoid Getting Scammed / Giving Details Away On Craigslist

Unfortunately, there are people looking to get hold of your personal information and money. If you have a potential buyer asking strange or unusual questions this is a red flag. In the event someone offers you a check or money order for more money than is required instead of cash or PayPal, we suggest you do not respond. These are usually fraudulent inquiries.

Why Is My Craigslist View Count So Low?

Your listing might have been taken down or flagged by Craigslist.

Why was my Craigslist listing taken down or flagged?

There are a number of Craigslist restrictions, outside of Quickable’s control, that could cause your item not to appear in the Craigslist search. These include:

What is the Craigslist signature line for?

Quickable allows you to create personalized signatures that will appear at the bottom of ALL of your Craigslist ads. You can create as many signature lines as you want. Simply select the signature stamp you want to use from the drop down menu after you created and used it once. Here’s an example of what you might use:

How does “Friends Only Pricing” on Facebook work?

Selling to your friends is a great idea, so why not offer them a special price? When you choose in Quickable to list on Facebook, you are given the option to select a Friends Only Price. This price will be made available only to them and will not appear anywhere else. You can also use the My Friends’ Facebook Items feature to see what your Facebook friends are selling.

TIP: If you are an administrator of another page, such as a business page, you have the option in the advanced selling mode to select which wall you would like to post your item to.

How do I find an item I want?

There are a few ways to locate an item in Quickable. In the app, you can...

  • Select the “Browse” button and search for a specific item or search by category
  • Select the “Nearby” button to locate items... well, nearby
  • Choose “Scan” which allows you to scan a bar code.

Can I filter my searches to include only local results or if they offer shipping?

Yes, to change your filters, click on Shop > Filter Icon > Select how you’d like to filter your search.

Why don’t I see the “Make Offer” button on an item I am interested?

If an offer button does not appear it means the seller is looking for full price offers.

How do I learn more about an item for sale?

Once you select an item, Quickable will display the product information and seller profile. If you have further questions, use the in-app messaging system to inquire with the seller.

How do I buy an item?

Select the “Buy Now” button to offer a full price offer on the item or, if the seller is willing to take offers, you can select the “Make Offer” button. In both cases the seller has 24 hours to accept and complete the transaction.

How does Quickable combat fraud?

Quickable combats fraud in a couple of ways. First, Quickable has a user feedback system that allows both buyers and sellers to rate their experience with the user after the transaction is completed. The rating system helps future buyers know if the seller is trustworthy and vice versa. Second, Quickable offers PayPal as a payment option. PayPal offers its users a payment Dispute Resolution Center where buyers can dispute payments for items not received.

How Do I Pay For My Purchase using PayPal?

Once an offer has been accepted, go to the Home screen > Shopping Cart. You will see your list of items that are pending payment. Select the item you wish to pay for. You will be presented with the option to pay with PayPal and given the choice to have the item shipped. You can also pay by credit card if you don't have a PayPal account.

TIP: You can choose to make arrangements outside of the system but for your security we strongly recommend the use of PayPal, a trusted and reliable source for online payments.

How do I contact a seller?

Quickable uses an in-app messaging system, similar to instant messaging, which lets the Buyer and Seller correspond in ‘real-time’ without needing to share their contact information. You can ask questions, make an offer, maybe make a better offer, and schedule pick up. Conversations between buyers and sellers that do not take place via the app messaging system is not recorded by Quickable and therefore not available for future reference.

Can I archive messages in the Message Center?

Yes, to archive messages click on the Message Center > select the message > select the overflow button > archive message.

How do I avoid getting scammed?

The best ways to avoid getting scammed is to: (1) Only accept PayPal and cash as payment options. Please note using payment providers like Western Union or MoneyGram are not recommended since they are outside our system and Quickable has no way to monitor these transactions. (2) Check other users feedback on the buyer/seller before engaging in a transaction with them. (3) Trust your gut, if an offer sounds to good to be true it most likely is.

Tip: If someone says they have to head out of town unexpectedly then offers to send you a check for much more than the item is worth then it is most likely a scam.

What do I do if I don’t receive my item?

First reach out to the seller to confirm the item has been shipped. If you are unable to reach the seller next step is to contact PayPal and dispute a payment. To do this go to > Login > Resolution Center > Dispute a Transaction. Please note PayPal users have 45 days from the time of the transaction to dispute a claim.


Once I list an item does my actual location show up?

No, we only show your general location within 1/10th of a mile of your actual location. Still don’t feel safe? Prior to creating a listing hide your detailed item location. This will allow buyers to see only the city and state for the location for the item. Do this by going to: Settings > Account > Hide Detailed Item Location.

Do I need to share my phone number or email address with the buyer/seller in order to complete a transaction?

No. Our ‘real-time’ messaging system allows buyers and sellers to converse without ever sharing their personal information. If a sale is agreed upon buyers and sellers may choose to share contact information to coordinate pick up or delivery of an item.

Can I delete my Quickable account?

Delete a Quickable user account by sending us a request on our contact us form and your account will be deleted promptly. We will be sorry to see you go, but hope you’ll remember us if the future if you are in the market to buy or sell.
